Ghost is a stunning little extra carved horse, made by G&J Lines in around 1910.

She did suffer some quite extensive woodworm damage, which has now been fully treated, but left her to fragile to ride. So is only suitable for display purposes, but what a stunning display piece she is!

I decided to leave her untacked, partly as I didn’t want anyone to be tempted to ride her, but also because I’m a complete softy, and can’t bring myself to nail tack on to this little beauty! I do have the leather, in traditional lines style, cut, dyed and ready to go on, so I could of course fit it if you decide that’s really what you would like (£100 extra).

She's a small horse and measures approximately 33” (84cm) from the floor to the highest point of her neck, with a body length of just 18” (46cm). Her replacement stand is 38” (96.5cm) in length and 13” (33cm) wide, but if it’s not to your taste, she could be displayed without it, or a more authentic replacement could be commissioned on request. The hoof rails and swing irons are original.

I’d love to see this one go to a lovely retirement home where she can live out her days being admired!

I'm happy to share photos of how she looked when she arrived, as well as progress shots of the restoration.

Viewing and collection from my home in Gloucester is welcome, or I am happy to arrange a courier if required. Mainland UK would be £70, please get in touch for a quote for any other areas.s.
